Hi everyone,
We've had some feedback from the community regarding holding our member meeting at a church. The reason our April 30 meeting will be taking place at The Church on the Mountain includes several factors, listed below:
We need a large space that will allow for social distancing and good airflow to provide as safe a setting as possible, and so that our members feel safe attending meetings.
The church has generously allowed us to use their space for free.
The church has also provided the free use of their technology so that we can have co-op members and key partners Zoom in to the meeting(s).
The church has kindly provided a support person, for free, to help with technology and other needs during the meeting.
We as a board understand that not everyone is a person of faith, that not everyone attending is of the Christian faith, and that some people may feel uncomfortable attending a meeting in a church. We do not want any of our members to feel offended or excluded, and we are open to changing our meeting venue. If you have a suggestion about a different venue that meets the above criteria (even if some of the points above are not free, but are provided at a reasonable cost) we are happy to consider other locations for future meetings. Please click on the Contact section of the website to get in touch with suggestions about other venues, and please know that we as a board are striving to address the concerns of all of our members. We care about what matters to you. Thank you!
